    Probing for new hardware

    Probing for new hardware

I updated llinux FC2 by using up2date, when I tried to use new kernel there was no problem.

when I tried to use old kernel (origin) Linux stuck when it says : Probe for new hardware!!!

    1- What should I do?

2- Why did this happen with old (origin ) ?

When I tried to use old kernel, some it does work without staying long time looking or probing for new hardware, and some times it does stay for ages. I did test in different location in the same building,,,,whay does this happen?

It may be that you've added a bunch of hardware while you were using the new kernel, in which case, it may not be frozen, just taking a _long_ time. If this is not the case, you can manually take this step out of the sysinit script in /etc/init.d/sysinit (I think)
