    I need help with burning!!


    I just recently installed fedora core 3 but am wondering if there is a burning program for linux that actually installs. I heard k3b is good but when I downloaded it, it just came with a bunch of files that I have no idea what to do with them. Please help me.

    It is the fedora RPM for K3B

    You will have to find it on the list.

    I installed it but I cant find it anywhere on my computer. When I try to open the rpm again I get The package"k3b" is already installed. What categorie would it be under?

    Look under "Sound and Video." You could also try running it by going to "Run Command..." and typing in k3b.

    Why wont k3b detect my cd burner? I need a working burning program so I can go back to windows.

    Run it as root.

    How do you enter the shell and hows doing that gonna help me burn a cd?

    "root" has all permissions (just try it)
