    Is there a way to make the boot screen image use more than 14 colors.

    You mean the Grub bootloader screen? If so, then probably not, since Grub is before everything else, it's actually pretty neat that it can use that much color at all.

    It can use anywhere up to 256 colors. I think.

    Yeah, besides, you only have to look at it for half a second while you choose the OS and press Enter.

    But what did you want to change it to?

    I want to change it just for a change. But I haven't been able to take a 256 color image and get it to work.
