    networking problems


    I put linux on an old machine I had and it runs good however I cannot figure out how to install the networking card in linux...I have an old HP system and the NIC that came with the computer...I know I know...I don't have the best setup but just playin around...I'm taking a class about Linux at college and wanted something to play on...thx for your help...

    HP 10/100-BaseT LAN Adapter (Ethernet)

    I don't know any other specs on it...It came in an HP 8660c Computer we used to have...

    also my linux box is behind a linksys wireless router but the box is actually wired for the LAN instead of the Wi-Fi

    From this printout, your ethernet adapter is not recognized by your system.
    It would really help if you could get some info about the adapter.
