SUB : Installing Redhat 9 & Fedora Core 3 in the same co
1.Will this be possible(two linux OS's in the same system) in the first place
2.Assuming i'm installing the two linux OS's on separate partitions, do i need to make separate swap partitions for the two
3.How to set the boot loader so that i can boot both linux OS's and also the windows OS
My system confiquration is,
CPU Type AMD Athlon XP, 2400 MHz (15 x 133) 2400+
Motherboard Name Asus A7V266-MX (3 PCI, 1 AGP, 2 DDR DIMM, Audio, Video, LAN)
Motherboard Chipset VIA VT8378(A) UniChrome KM400(A)
System Memory 256 MB (PC2100 DDR SDRAM)
BIOS Type Award (10/20/03)
Video Adapter VIA/S3G UniChrome IGP
3D Accelerator VIA/S3 UniChrome
Audio Adapter VIA AC'97 Enhanced Audio Controller
you can have as many OSs as your heart (and your hard disk capacity) desires.
2. No, they can all hapily use the same swap partition.
3. Look into the tutorila section of this forum for one about solving boot problems with grub, and you'll find a working example of a /boot/grub/grub.conf
Use Suse 10.1 and occasionally play with Kubuntu
Also have Windows 98SE and BeOS
