    Internet Connection

    Hello,
This is my first post and my first attempt of using Linux. I installed RedHat 9.0 and it works fine. The only problem that I have is trying to access the internet. I am using the onboard LAN on my motherboard ( http://www.biostar-usa.com/mbdetails...el=M7NCD%20PRO ). It says that the LAN port in inactive, but it will not allow me to activate it. I have done searches on Google, but I have not found any information to help solve the problem. I know that you will need more information, but being new to Linux I'm not sure what that will be, so just tell me what you need to know and I will get it. Thanks for the help.

That's an nForce board, isn't it? You will probably have to grab some drivers from the nVidia site http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_nforce_1.0-0301.html
and follow their instructions to install it. You'll need to drop out of your x session to install them; to do that, you can open a terminal and (as root) type
    Code:
    init 3
. You'll also need to login as root to run the installer.
There are two major products that come out of Berkeley: LSD and UNIX. We don't believe this to be a coincidence.
