    Workgroup in Linux


    I have a Fed3 box on my network. my lynksys box gives out 10.10.x.x IP addresses to all computers on the network including wireless clients running xp & 2000. My windows clients are on a workgroup. How can i add my fed3 box to that workgroup so i can see the window machines???

    You'll need to install and configure an smb protocol such as samba.
    You should already have it If you did an "everything" install on your box. If not you can use the yum command in a terminal window to install it
    Code:
    su -
    password: rootpass
    
    yum install samba
    Then you can configure it from the smb.conf file stored in /etc/samba/smb.conf
