Hi there,

The background.
I am installing RedHat 8.0 on a new Pentium IV machine with NO operating system at all. I've created a boot floppy and I am trying to install from the CDs.

The problem
It starts fine ... I am asked where I want to install from and I chose CD, and then it asks what type of CD .. the only choice is SCSI, so I go on ... it tries to find the driver for the CD ROM but cannot find it; it then gives me a choice of 4 drivers ... I've tried them all, but nothing works and cannot get to the next stage of the installation.

The CD ROM I have is a :
make: LG
model: GCC-4521B

I've been to LG's site, there are drivers there but none for Linux.

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Fernando
