    kernel version 2.6+

I recently installed redhat and found that it was using kernel 2.4, I tried to upgrade to 2.6 but it took a long time and in the end something went wrong. I may have to have another go, but I was wondering if you can download a version of redhat that already runs kernel 2.6 or is there a similar distribution that uses it?
    Thanks
