    samba -> access denied why?

    Hello,

    maybe someone can help me. I am using FC4 and I created a share called Downloads which I like to access via Win XP. Mainly I want to get files from this share to Win XP, but somtimes I need to copy into this share from Win XP also.

    Everything is working fine with this share, except that I can not copy from Win XP to this share on FC4. Always saying access denied, although I made this share read write and excutable for owner, group and others (777).

    I have no plan what I am doing wrong! Can someone help?

    Here is the smb.conf for this share

    [DOWNLOADS]
    path = /DOWNLOADS
    writeable = yes
    browseable = yes
    guest ok = yes

    Cheers,
    Dominik

    FC doesn't come with NTFS support by default.
    If you search this site, you can find the correct file to download.
    Do NTFS in the Redhat/Fedora Help section.

    Use the search function next to the "Profile" button.
