    Iam not able to run .mp3 files. Can any one tell me how it can be done.

    What do you mean by run? Do you have a media player? If you have mplayer, for example, run "mplayer name-of.mp3"

    Under Redhat and most Linux distributions MP3 support is left out. However don't fret, you can install it from yum or Synaptic (apt-get GUI).
