    glibc update

I am running redhat 9 and was just wondering if it is safe too upgrade glibc
thru up2date or apt-get. I have read the linux documentation project artical
on upgrading glibc. But this is a binary rpm from redhat. Is it safe to upgrade?
Also I am not having any problems with the current version 2.3.2-11.9 but I
would like having all the updates for my distro. But I don't want to break anything.
I probaly should go with the old saying ( if it is not broke don't fix it ).

I don't see you having any problems with updating glibc via apt-get or up2date.
