    Got a tiny bit further


    [Fedora 4 64_x86 DVD]

    Ok...

    I ran Linux noacpi pci=noacpi acpi=off noapic

    It load the Uli SATA driver which was good. (My main problem with most distros)

    and got as far as anaconda installer starting up. Then it frooze.

    Any ideas?

    Argh so close to working..

    I did Linux noacpi acpi=off pci=noacpi

    After choosing my packages and watching Fedora partition/format it. It starts the install... it install the first 2 rpms ok..

    But it hangs on this package:

    Hwdata-0.158-1.noarch

    Check the Sha1sum... its the exact same number

    If anyone gives a monkeys. I solved it by deselecting a lot of packages.

    FC4 is now installed.
