What about the AMD-64 bit version?

Are you shafted if you have the AMD64 version of Fedora Core 4? I´ve tried installing the RPM and self-extracting binary versions of jre 1.5.0_04 and for some reason the critical Mozilla plugin file: libjavaplugin_oji.so IS NEVER INSTALLED! I assume that Sun for some reason doesn´t want to distribute the Mozilla plugin for AMD64 systems? Is there any way I can get the plugin to work WITHOUT having to remove the x86_64 version of Firefox and install the 32-bit version?
