I've recently installed Yellow Dog Linux (obviously not Red Hat, but there's no forum for it, and I think they're fairly closely related) on my beige PowerMac G3.

When I boot, iptables-restore reports the follow error message:
"Applying iptables firewall rules: iptables-restore v1.2.9: iptables-restore: unable to initializetable (sic) 'filter'

Error occurred at line: 3
Try 'iptables-restore -h' or 'iptables-restore --help' for more information."

My iptables file is system-generated; I haven't touched it. For reference, here is the file:
# Firewall configuration written by system-config-securitylevel
# Manual customization of this file is not recommended.
:RH-Firewall-1-INPUT - [0:0]
-A INPUT -j RH-Firewall-1-INPUT
-A FORWARD -j RH-Firewall-1-INPUT
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -i lo -j ACCEPT
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -p icmp --icmp-type any -j ACCEPT
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -p 50 -j ACCEPT
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -p 51 -j ACCEPT

I'm very new to Linux, so I don't quite know where to start troubleshooting this. I've seen
rpm -ql iptables
suggested in other areas on this forum, and the results of that command don't seem to show any obvious errors (although I'm not sure I would recognize anything more subtle). Any help would be appreciated--thanks!
