You have not posted a problem you have only posted a want, so to that I say go ahead and intall it.

However if you are having a problem you need to be more specific. What exactly is the problem you are having?

which mainboard version of MSI? if you dont know how to find it out, simply open your case and look for something like " MS 7170E " or similar.

second , as for the thread starter, i installed Fedora series since FC4 on VT8237 and if im not wrong RH Workstation Enterprise is out after FC4, it should support vt8237 . and also you you have promise Raid chip on your board , which one is the chip used to connect your HDD? VT8237 or Promise 20378 RAID controller ? if you connected your HDD on VT8237, it should not ask , or if it is promise, go one without installing Via driver i say.
in both cases, if you need drivers, here they are:
promise drivers from Asus site :
    http://dlsvr01.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mis.../378_Linux.zip

via VT8237 drivers for Fedora Core 6 (might work with RH versions) :

VT8237 driver disk (might be what you were looking for ) for Red Hat Releases :
    http://www.viaarena.com/default.aspx...0&SubCatID=190

i hope these help you out .

your mobo is K8MM-V , has VT8237R chipset as southbridge , so my post above for Asus mobo will also work for you :

via VT8237 drivers for Fedora Core 6 (might work with RH versions) :
