VIA VT8237 Sata Driver
hey,
my name is jimmy and i a having
939 pin AMD64 3000+
Asus a8v deleux
512 MB Ram
ST312082 SATA HDD
Samsung CD-R/RW
Sony DVD-ROM DDU1622 and i want to install Readhat
workstation enterprise
when i am installing linux at begining itself they r asking for
sata driver...
where should i get this VIA Serial ATA RAID Controller driver
it is not possible to install with out it..
somebody help me......

You have not posted a problem you have only posted a want, so to that I say go ahead and intall it.
However if you are having a problem you need to be more specific. What exactly is the problem you are having?

which mainboard version of MSI? if you dont know how to find it out, simply open your case and look for something like " MS 7170E " or similar.

your mobo is K8MM-V , has VT8237R chipset as southbridge , so my post above for Asus mobo will also work for you :
