    glftpd installation on linux

I want to install glFTPd on Linux (RedHat 9)

As i am new to this forums same way i am new to linux. Here are some requirements.

"You need the following to successfully install and use glftpd"

    - root password (is ok)

    - System V ipc support in kernel (shared memory)
(what is System V ipc and how it works, how can i get its support?)

    - Disk drive with UNIX-like file system (like ext2/ext3 in linux)
what does this mean, file system is ok, its ext2

    Thanks.

glFTPd should work just fine in RedHat 9. Did you check the installation instructions? They are in ../glftpd-LNX_2.01/docs/glftpd.docs
