I don't use Gnome, but you could always open a terminal and launch it from there.
you may need to know the full /path/to/the/file
example
Code:/usr/local/games/RT2/rt2
I do not respond to private messages asking for Linux help, Please keep it on the forums only.

I'd rather be lost at the lake than found at home.

I'm not exactly sure if/how this has changed in the latest Gnome (I'm running version 2.10.0), but there are multiple ways to do this. The simplest is to just open a terminal (Applications->System Tools->Terminal for me).
It's also possible to add a run-in-terminal launcher: (right-click panel)->Add to Panel...->Custom Application Launcher. In the window that appears, fill in the info and flag Run in terminal.
The third way I know of is to add a mini-commander to the panel: (right-click panel)->Add to Panel...->Command Line. This is just a mini-terminal.
And there is a fourth way: Applications->Run Application. In that window, enter the path and flag Run in terminal.
Again, some of these things are probably different in the latest Gnome (the one that ships with FC5 by default), but this should be valid if you're running Gnome 2.10.0.
