New CentOS install - why wont fdisk run?

    [root@localhost sbin]# su
    [root@localhost sbin]# fdisk
    bash: fdisk: command not found
    [root@localhost sbin]# ls f*
    fdisk fixfiles fsck.cramfs fsck.ext3 fsck.vfat fxload
    findfs fsck fsck.ext2 fsck.msdos fuser

So fdisk is here.. it just doesn't like being called. Actually, none of the commands in sbin seem to respond at the command line.

    Any ideas?
