JDK1.6 installing problem in Fedora core4

as we are doing installing of jdk1.6 beta version on Fedora core4
it shows version 1.4 that is inbuilt with fc4

even we can't get how to set the classpath for the jdk1.6 ( java)
give me manual steps to install jdk1.6 on FC4 also setting classpath on it.

and my RMI program is not running between two linux machines.
    it gives me :
    root exception
    connection refused...

    what will be solutions...

    hoping for early reply....

    Try looking here.
substitute jre-1_5_0_06-linux-i586-rpm.bin for whatever version you have.
