messed up display settings...x wont startup

so i tried to set up my computer for dual display, my tv as the primary monitor and my crt as the secondary.
So when I restarted X i got some error messages, and X wouldn't start.
So I tried to get to change my xorg.conf through the secure disk, but the x11 folder wasn't there!
All I need is get a single display to work, the dual display isnt needed.

    Can anyone help?

What error do you get from the console output? Also, what errors does /var/log/Xorg.0.log report?

i was able to solve the problem, by changing my video card in bios to onboard, then starting up and changing my video settings and then again changing back to my agp card....thanks though...
the bigg problem was that only the first time i booted i got an error message..afterwards it would just stop during initialization
