Grub menu does not load

Yesterday I was installing nvidia driver
everything went fine and smooth
Today while booting my PC when grub starts to load I see the word GRUB and a blinking cursor, Menu does not show up
any clue?

i dont know if it is coz of nvidia drivers or something else, but GRUB has been corrupted..
you have to reinstall it...

boot up from Linux Installation CD/DVD and type linux rescue at boot: prompt. this will drop you at shell prompt. execute this

chroot /mnt/sysimage
grub-install /dev/hda

if you have SATA disk then use sda instead of hda

press Ctrl + D two times. machine will reboot and GRUB will be back in business.
