widescreen framebuffer
...how to?
I use ASPLinux 11 (FC-compatible) running 2.6.17.7 vanilla kernel + vesafb-tng framebuffer driver, but my console only works in 1024x768-85 (instead of 1280x768-60 or even 1024x768-60, wich I tried to start using vesavb-tng kernel options in my GRUB).
Using 915resolution I made X.org working in 1280x768, but when I tried to override BIOS 1024x768 resolution with 1280x768 (for X.org I override 1280x1024), console becomes blur, smaller and tiles: I can do nothong with it before reboot.
Thank for any help with it.

I've tried everything with my framebuffer: different fb-drivers, different command lines, but nothing helps, in any case I get only 1024x768-85. I think 915resolution might help if the resolution was not so high, but I can't make it lower.
Can anyone help me make it work propertly? (or point me someone who can)
