    Trying to use Nedit - library error


    I've installed nedit, but it won't run because
    it can't find libXp.so.6 library unit.

    Where can I get the appropriate libraries?

    hi dferry23,
    I'm sure you already have libXp.so.6 on your system if you use X windows.
    try this
    Code:
    locate libXp.so.6
    you may need to read the help section for nedit.
    I don't use it so I can't help you all that much.

    If you use Fedora, then just try this
    Code:
    yum install nedit

    Nope. Looked all over. No libXp.so.6 . . . where can I get it?

    If you use Fedora, then just try this, open a terminal window and login as root
    Code:
    su -c
    enter root password and press enter
    then type
    Code:
    yum install nedit
    this will install all the dependancies for you
