mv -f yum.conf yum.conf.bak
rpm -Uvh http://www.fedorafaq.org/yum http://rpm.livna.org/livna-release-5.rpm
2. Installed gstreamer to play mp3 in my fedora rythmbox:
yum install gstreamer-plugins-ugly
3. removed totem and installed totem-xine
echo -e "remove totem\n install totem-xine libdvdcss libdvdnav\n run\n quit" | yum -y shell
5. I installed the media player mozillla plugin and some codecs by running:
yum install mplayerplug-in
yum --enablerepo=atrpms install w32codec
what am I doing wrong .. I can not get totem to play movie dvd's.. it hangs every time I try to watch a movie.
Any advise to fix it or get a best player for my FC5

In my opinion, Totem sucks rocks.
I like to use Mplayer or Xine.
yum install mplayer
You haven't installed the extra plugins from mplayerhq. Read this: http://stanton-finley.net/fedora_cor...es.html#CodecsWindows free since 2002 | computing since 1984
