    Angry kernel source code?

I am currently using Fedora 5 and have read many tutorials on how to compile the kernel source code however, I am getting a message that has me stuck.

    rpm -Uvh kernel-2.6.17-1.2187_FC5.src.rpm
1:kernel warning: user brewbuilder does not exist - using root
warning: user brewbuilder does not exist - using root
warning: user brewbuilder does not exist - using root
warning: user brewbuilder does not exist - using root

The same message is printed to screen about 25 times. I have no idea who is brewbuilder? Or I should say what is brewbuilder and how do I fix it?
    I would appreciate the help

Those are just warnings, I think the kernel sources did in fact install properly.
    look in /usr/src/kernels/2.6.17-1.2187_FC5-i686

    I thought that too

I thought it was okay too, however when I went to install Asterisk, which is the reason I needed the source for, I get the message that tells me that the source for my kernel is not installed. I made a soft link to to the kernel in the /usr/src/2.6.17-1.2187_FC5 folder ( that is where the source is located but when it was built is went to a folder called kernel/2.6.17-1.2187_FC5) but still no luck

You need to install the kernel-devel package and not the kernel source rpm.

    Code:
    #yum install kernel-devel
