    How to install Linux on SATA Hdd With Asus mother Board


    Dear All
    I have a new system with mother board Asus and Seagate sata hard disk. When i am trying to install linux on that system it shows a message no hard disk found on your system. Pls help me to rectify the problem......

    sata + linux

    your problem is your kernel sata support

    use debian kernel 4.2.27 or make your kernel based on that one.

    If you're installing a redhat/fedora variant (as this is the redhat/fedora forum) then you should be able to see the drive if you use 'linux expert' at the install disk bootup prompt.

    I haven't been lucky with fedora core 2 so I did *need* to make this work around...
