    Question Monitor scrambled at login

    Hi,

I just installed Fedora Core 3 on my PC. The monitor I have (Samsung SyncMaster 916v) was not listed, so I picked a monitor setting close to it. Apparently I guessed wrong, because the display is completely scrambled. I know how to get into LINUX RESCUE, but I don't know which file to edit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

in GRUB screen, select Fedora title and press 'e'. add 3 at the end of 'kernel' line and press 'b' to boot up. this will drop you on command line login prompt. log in as root and execute this command.

    Code:
    system-config-display
configure display settings again. select Generic Monitor. in most cases, Generic Monitor works good.

It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
