anywho,
the problem im having now is that the highest my display will go is 800x600, how can i change this?
i've downloaded a linux driver for my integrated graphic card, and its a .tgz and got another one just incase with an extension of .tar.gz how do i install these????

heh, i didn't had any problems on my LCD, Fedora started with 1024x768 at the first run

one more quick question, before i start reading the installation process..
im in the gnome mode, how do i switch to KDE?
(i have installed it , when i was installing fedora, i just dont know how to switch to it)

log off and in main screen,( screen in which you enter username and password ), look for button 'session', select KDE from list and log in.im in the gnome mode, how do i switch to KDE?

i think you didn't install KDE ( K Desktop Environment )
type 'kcontrol' in terminal/konsole. does KDE control center pop up?
