    video driver problems


    i tried installing the video driver that adds 3d effect to the user interface. i uninstall the orignal driver & installed the other driver. i restarted my computer. it gave me a error in a small blue screen... it looked like it didn't detect the other driver.. what should i do?

    what video card are you trying to use? ATI or nVidia? how did you uninstall the old one then install the new one? which new one and from where? the graphics drivers don't provide the 3D effects, just the ability to use the effects with a supported graphics card. the 3D desktop effects are provided by either compiz or beryl.
