    I have problem mounting my USB external HD. Please someone help with the code.
    check the device name assigned to External HD through 'fdisk -l' command.
    create mount point and mount it.
    Code:
    mkdir /media/ext_hd
    mount -t  <file_system>   /dev/<ext_partition>  /media/ext_hd

    rw access

    This will mount the drive but not necessarily with RW access.

    On my machines, FC6 will automatically mount the drive bu RO only. I have only been able to mount an NTFS drive RW using ntfs-3g.
