Damn GUI Mode - How to stop boot to GUI?

    Hello,

I just reformatted and forgot not to install the GUI Gnome files. Now the server will boot to GUI mode.

How can I stop this? I only want the text mode. With basic commandline/shell

    Thanks

You need to edit /etc/inittab as root, changing the default runlevel to 3 from five -
    Code:
    # The default runlevel is defined here
    id:5:initdefault:
Changed to[/code]# The default runlevel is defined here
id:3:initdefault:[/code]You can use any text editor to do this.
