    Problems build rpm from source...

    Hello Everyone,

I'm very new to linux and Fedora and I am trying to build a rpm for gRip from the src.rpm. I've read up on how to build an rpm from the source file but I keep getting an error message everytime I try to compile it.

This is what I type in:

    Code:
    rpm -rebuild /usr/joe/Desktop/grip-3.3.1-1.src.rpm
and this is the message that I recieve:

    Code:
rpm: arguments to --root (-r) must begin with a /
I have no idea what I am doing wrong and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any reason why you don't install it using yum:
    Code:
    # yum install grip
    That's how I got it.
