    GRUB problem after installed FC6

I have an existing dual boot system with Windows XP and FC4. I recently installed FC6 and chose the option to remove all existing Linux partitions and set up default layout. I don't remember being asked to install GRUB. But I already had GRUB installed in the MBR. The installation went smoothly. When it completed, I rebooted the system. Then I got dropped into GRUB's command line. It looks like GRUB didn't recognize anything on my system. I managed to boot into Windows using the following four commands:
    Code:
    grub> rootnoverify (hd0,0)
    grub> makeactive
    grub> chainloader +1
    grub> boot
I am still working on how to boot into the newly installed FC6. Things shouldn't like this. Anyone know how to fix this problem.
    Much thanks,

boot up from Fedora Installation CD/DVD and execute this code at boot: prompt
    Code:
    linux rescue
    chroot /mnt/sysimage
    grub-install /dev/hda
    press Ctrl+D two times.
in case, GRUB doesn't show up, execute 'fdisk -l' and 'less /boot/grub/grub.conf' commands and post output here.

It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
