    > Few days back I have purchased new system for at home. my system configuration is intel p4 D845 GNT, 2.66 GHZ, 256 MB Ram, and 80GB SATA Hard drive. I have install winxp and its work fine but I insert the red hat 9.0 CD in to CD Rom and start the setup but it show me a message like "there is no hard drive in system".
After one day I purchased the Fedora core 2 CD but the problem is same. I hope you will be helping me.

Try newer distributions like Fedora Core 6, OpenSUSE 10.2 and Ubuntu 6.10. Most of these support SATA out of the box.
