I have installed flash, but I still cannot view flash in firefox.. I still get the plugin needed when loading a flash object on a page.
I ran:
/root/install_flash_player_7_linux

Having a very hard time Getting FLASH in Firefox
I have installed flash, but I still cannot view flash in firefox.. I still get the plugin needed when loading a flash object on a page.
I ran:
/root/install_flash_player_7_linux
And installed it in
/usr/lib/firefox
Please help. Why cant I see flash???
When I open the firefox folder in /usr/lib.firefox I do see that flash is in the plugin folder....
What have I done wrong????
Oh.. I am using firefox 2...

download Flash 9 beta and install it. it works fine.
CasperIt is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

I think Firefox usually looks for plugins in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins, so try downloading the first file (Installer) on the Flash Player 9 download page linked to by Devils Caspar. Extract it, then copy the libflasplayer.so file to /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins - I set up our PC's here with this (one on FC5) using this method, and it seems to work.
