Can I run an applicaiton as a service at startup
I've got the new flash player v9 standalone from adobe and would like to run it at startup on a fedora box (and ultimately a stripped down linux web server). The thing is I'm not too familiar with linux and don't really know much about shell scripting.
So I reckon I could get the app to startup ok - I can initiate it with /usr/gflashplayer http://path/to/swf, but in the end it's going to need to run on a tiny little linux webserver in an IP camera so I think I need to make it run as a service.
If anyone could point me in the direction of a good tutorial on how to achieve this I'd be very greatful. And is this even possible? Running the flash vm on an embedded webserver where there is no screen to output anything to??
