    remote desktop administration of windows xp machine?


    i want to administer windows xp machine remotely using my linux machine. can anyone suggest me a software or a ways to have it done.

    Krdc for KDE. Have you tried that. VNC works too.

    Gnome actually has it's own rdp client too --> http://gnome-rdp.linuxforge.hu/

    vnc is a good solution. but be aware of the security flaws that already exists. a quick search in google should get you started with a few of 'em.

    just a suggestion.

    You can also use rdesktop, which uses Windows' native rdp protocol so you wouldn't have to install another remote control server on the Windows box.
    Stand up and be counted as a Linux user!

    i installed the vncserver do i also need to install the vnc viewer to access the remote desktop of my windows xp PC?
    is vnc server must be present on the client machine for me to connect to it?

    No need to install vnc server in the client machine.

    VNC server and viewer is intalled on my linux system. so how do i can connect to my windows xp PC?
