    rpm import help

im trying to import this gpg key :

    rpm --import http://dries.ulyssis.org/rpm/RPM-GPG-KEY.dries.txt

and i get an "error segmentation fault". I'm using this as part of my yum updates and I have a feeling that this maybe the reason that fedora can't install apps properly. Can someone tell me if there's a greater purpose for this key and if there's another alternative? Thanks.

Yeah, I tested that link and got a seg fault too, it must be a bad link or something. What is it exactly that you need from that repo?

Post the output of yum, and lets find out what your problem is.

I feel this maybe the problem to a couple of install problems i've been having. A couple good examples is when I install VLC or XINE, I get error's that dependanices are missing. I don't know exactly what the benefits of the dries repo gives but i have a feeling that this maybe the problem.

Well see, without the errors, no one can tell you what's going wrong.
do a yum update from the terminal, and post all the output back here.
There is more than one place to get programs like VLC and xine, if you mix repos like dries and extras, you will have troubles.

    Holy snapping duck sh!t!
You have a lot of Repos, more than I have ever seen on one machine in fact.
Try disabling some of those repos and you wont have the error problem anymore.
    yum -disablerepo=vlc disablerepo=vlc-devel disablerepo=vlc-contrib update
You could download kyum or yumex, which are both GUI's for yum, and it makes it easier to disable repos.
    yum install kyum
    yum install yumex
