Hello,

I am pretty new to all this so please be patient. I am trying to install Wireless Drivers on my Laptop. I am running Fedora Core 6. Part of the install doc I got from Wirelessdefence.org calls for a patch to be installed. The following is the output of that patch:

[root@ratiaa madwifi-0.9.2.1]# patch -Np1 -i ../madwifi-ng-r1886.patch
(Stripping trailing CRs from patch.)
patching file ath/if_ath.c
Hunk #1 succeeded at 2248 (offset -41 lines).
patch unexpectedly ends in middle of line
Hunk #2 succeeded at 2306 with fuzz 1.
[root@ratiaa madwifi-0.9.2.1]#

I would assume that this patch did not install properly because afterwards the make gave me errors and the make install also gave me errors and not the expected output.

My questions:

1. Can I unpatch the patch and try again? I think I saved the patch improperly.
2. When I get errors in my make command where do I look to see what went wrong?
3. If I fix what went wrong can I feel sure that when I do a make again without errors the install is good or:
4. Do I need to uninstall something and begin all over again?

Like I said this is my first time touching LINUX but I am determined to get this working.

Thanks for any help you can give me,

Pete
