FC install without CD
I am trying to install Linux FC 6 on a NEC 5800 LE2200, without being able boot from a CD or USB. In order to try installing FC 3, 4, and 5 with the floppies from the below link, I erased all the partitions from the hard drive several times.

Just after a given set of disks loaded the Fedora installer would barely start before the computer comes up with this error: error reading from drive C Dos area: general failure Then it gave me the option to abort retry fail. None of which resulted in a correct install.
I don’t know if I should try figuring out how to remove and attach and install Linux as a external usb drive with my XP computer. I also couldn’t figure out how to make a tom’s boot disk in XP. This is my first time trying Linux. Help.
