    Talking RHEL, Printer issues

Hi all, A new convert to linux. I have factory installed RHEL ver 4.9L and trying to find my way out. I have afew papers with me with commands and all. Already forgot my root password and then thanks to DIGIT magazines book on linux was able to log in as single user and change root password successfully. now my printer is not working properly. It's a dot matrix and the manufacturers name does not appear in the place to create a new queue. Kindly help. Suggest some sites where i could download instruction manuals for RHEL.
    regards

It would help if we knew the make and model of your printer. Also, what mechanism does it use to connect to your PC? (USB, Parallel, etc)
