Help required for SSL implemantation with Apache on Linux
Hi there,
I've posted this with other name, but i feel the subject line is very ambiguous and no one is checking my post. so, here i changed my subject line for clarity. sorry for the inconvinence.
I'm implementing SSL with Apache on Radhat Linux. according to all the manuels on the net, i'm changing the port no to 443 to implement SSL. I'm getting connection refused error. If i run my application on 8080 with HTTP, it works fine. if i use port 443 with HTTPS, then i'm, getting "connection refused" error. I tried many manuels, but no use. anybody have any idea. I've searched so many sites and everyone says the samething-- "change the port no". I'll give complete code, if anybody responds.
my conf is-- Redhat Linux, apache2.0,openSSL. plz help.
thanks in advance
Durga.

First of all, are you testing this in your local environment? If no, do check with the admin that port 443 is not blocked or something.
Since you're using apache 2.0, do post both your httpd.conf and ssl.conf here.
