Local installation of GCC
Hai all,
I want to install Gcc locally in my domain alone without disturbing the already installed version. I don't want to disturb the programs running by other users. Is it possible? If so could anyone help me how to do? Thanks in advance.

normally, as a user, you can download & compile & install for yr own use, anything. So find the gcc
source--including libraries--and go at it. What's the problem with yr system's version?the sun is new every day (heraclitus)

Gcc local installation
Dear TPl,
Thank you for your kind reply. I still have one doubt that would it affect the other program running by other users inmy machine? And one more thing, can I compile the Gcc which I want to use as usual? Many thanks for your reply.
