fresh install - refresh rate help

Just did a fresh install of FC6 and after the installation is complete and the computer is rebooted, screen goes black saying monitor doesnt support refresh rate. Its a monitor message, not like an error box message. How can i change the refresh rate without ever booting into FC6?

    hi c0le !

    Welocme to the LinuxForums.

in GRUB screen, select Fedora title and press 'e'. select 'kernel' line, press 'e' again and add <space> 3 at the end of line. press 'Enter' key and press 'b' to boot up. this will drop you on command line login prompt. log in as root and execute this command.
configure display settings and resolutions. in case your Monitor is not listed in Montiors List, select 'Generic' Monitor.

It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
