    Grub boot problem

Hi, I'm new to Linux and recently started using Fedora 6. I also run Windows XP and Windows Vista. Today, I added a partition using partition magic and ran into a problem after restarting my computer. After restarting, GRUB presented me with the message:

[ Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported. For the first word, TAB
lists possible command completions. Anywhere else TAB lists the possible
    completions of a device/filename. ]

followed by a grub> command prompt

I realized that I broke GRUB's partitions table, and I have now edited the grub.conf file by changing Fedora's boot partition from (hd0,5) to (hd0,6). However, I still am having no luck getting the Grub boot menu to appear and instead still see the GRUB boot minimal bash-like line black screen. Any ideas how can I fix this problem? I would really appreciate any help with this.

This is my grub.conf file as it currently appears:

    # grub.conf generated by anaconda
    #
    # Note that you do not have to rerun grub after making changes to this file
    # NOTICE: You do not have a /boot partition. This means that

    # initrd /boot/initrd-version.img
    #boot=dev/sda

boot up in rescue mode, chroot filesytem and re-install GRUB.
    Code:
    chroot /mnt/sysimage
    grub-install /dev/sda --recheck
press Ctrl+D two times. machine will reboot. check if GRUB menu appears at startup.
