    Display Settings In RedHat 9


    hello... i have just recently started using RedHat 9... i got it installed properly.. but when i go to change the screen resolution it wont change unless i set the coloring to 256 colors... anyone know how to fix this?

    Welcome to the LinuxForums.

    RedHat 9 is too old and it doesn't support new hardware. RedHat is supporting Fedora Core now. latest version is Fedora Core 6.
    anyways, boot up in command line mode and execute 'system-config-display'. configure display settings and resolutions. execute 'startx' to check GUI.
