fc5 + compaq nw8240 + resolution

I am teaching myself linux. The dual-boot installation of fc5 done.

Now the problems:

1. Resolution is deadlocked as 640*480 or 800*600.

2. Wireless is non-operational.

Does anyone out there have any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the LinuxForums.

for settings up resolution:
in GRUB screen, select Fedora title and press 'e'. select 'kernel' line, press 'e' again and add <space> 3 at the end of line. press 'Enter' key and press 'b' to boot up. this will drop you on command line login prompt. log in as root and execute this

 system-config-display

configure display and resolutions. in case your Monitor is not listed in Monitors List, select 'Generic' Monitor. execute 'startx' to check GUI.

dont have much experience in Wireless. i hope someone will post suggestion for that soon.
