Running timeconfig from command line
With the changes to Daylight Savings this year, our Redhat 9 servers (about 200 remote servers) need to be updated with the new tzdata. I have a tarball with all the files I need to update and am able to copy them to the necessary directories with a script, but in order for /etc/sysconfig/clock to get updated I need to run timeconfig or redhat-config-date. I don't need to change anything in timeconfig, I just need to get the /etc/sysconfig/clock file generated. Is there a way to get the /etc/sysconfig/clock generated by running timeconfig through a script, so I don't actually have to run it?
Any help is appreciated.
