    Setting up Samba problems

    I have a samba server setup on CentOS however i cannot get connected to it from any PC on the network. i have a workgroup network setup. any ideas? Windows XP says it doenst have permission and the user account and password are set the same on both systems.

    Thumbs up samba problem !

    u can make samba work at domain ,share ,user and active dir..(ADs) security
    so easier is to use share level permission also note that if u use user level
    then account must be same on windows and linux & check directory permissions
    use system-config-samba RHEL4
    use redhat-config-samba RHEL3

    sometimes ur samba share takes time to be displayed on network neighbourhood (around 15 minute)
    u can stop nmbd in that case on linux server

    what we do is
    service winbindd restart
    service nmbd restart
    service smb restart

    try to find smb.conf file on google.....
